As part of Get Set Weekend 2026, Church Eaton Cricket Club is pleased to support a brand-new community event coming to the village – the Church Eaton Chase 10K and Children’s Fun Run.

The event is being organised by club member Cínead Green and is designed to be a friendly, community-focused run with a traditional village feel, welcoming runners, joggers, families and supporters of all abilities.

Location: Church Eaton Cricket Club, ST20 0AG

Children’s Fun Run

Start time: 10:00am

Distance: 2 laps of the cricket outfield (approximately ½ mile)

Entry fee: £2.50

10K Race

Start time: 11:00am

Entry fee: £15

Minimum age: 16 years on event day

Runner limit: 100 participants

Registration: 08:30–09:45

Route & Facilities

The 10K is a circular, scenic route through quiet country lanes around Church Eaton, starting at the cricket club and finishing at the Royal Oak.

Breakfast baps and refreshments will be available at the cricket club from 8:30am to 12 noon, with food served at the Royal Oak from midday.

Chip timing will be used for the 10K race, with prizes for the first male and female finishers and medals awarded to all competitors.

Participants are asked to park considerately and be respectful of local residents.

Charity Support

All proceeds from the event will be donated to MS UK and Sense.

Club Involvement

Church Eaton Cricket Club will be supporting the event and will be looking for volunteers nearer the time to help with marshalling, refreshments and general event support. Further details will be shared closer to the date.
