Church Eaton Cricket Club are pleased to confirm that the 1st XI will compete in Division 3 of the North Staffs & South Cheshire Cricket League for the 2026 season, having formally accepted promotion this week.

The opportunity follows a third-place finish in Division 4 during the 2025 season, where the side narrowly missed automatic promotion by just one point.

A subsequent withdrawal from Premier B, in accordance with league regulations, created an additional promotion place, which the club has now accepted.

The decision reflects the progress made on the field over recent seasons and provides the 1st XI with the chance to test themselves at a higher level of competition. Moving into Division 3 represents a positive step forward and an exciting challenge for players, supporters, and volunteers alike.

The club would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and effort throughout the 2025 season and looks forward to the new challenge that Division 3 cricket will bring in 2026.
