Have you ever thought of volunteering/helping out but you don't know how to go about it or thought that you don't have the right skills, or even that you've never played cricket before? Church Eaton cricket club is in need of volunteers throughout the club to help us progress and improve.

We need local volunteers to help with, Groundswork, Club maintenance, Senior & Junior Coaching/running of teams, running of the pavilion & bar, Website & admistration, Scorers, Fundraising & grant sourcing + many more.

Here are some reasons why it is a great idea to get involed.

1. You owe it to your kids. Junior teams can only keep going if they have enough willing helpers. Something as simple as doing the scoring for a game is vital. If you are going to watch your child play anyway, then scoring is a fantastic way of doing this whilst supporting your child, team and club.

2. Make new friends. Joining our cricket family is a great way of meeting new people within the club and socializing at club events.

3. You want to give something back to the local community.

4. Take on a new challenge & learn something new. Maybe you have skills that you want to develop and volunteering also looks great on your CV.

5. You've got skills that the club needs. Sports skills are not the only skill needed by the club. Maybe you've got a head for figures, fundraising, social media, or just a brilliant people person. All of these things are needed.

6. It's good for you both physically and mentally. Volunteering gives a fantastic sense of purpose and self-worth.
